So we have already started playing around with this new iOS and I have to say that I am hugely impressed with what Apple has come up with this time. It definitely has a massively updated look and feel while at the same time being familiar if you’re already used to prior versions of iOS. This fresh new look makes it feel like an entirely new operating system.

But the new iOS 7 is much more than new graphics and icons. There are a great many new technologies that have been made available to us developers to help us create better apps. So we will be using all of these new technologies to update all of the apps that Pocket Watch offers. Starting with ActivePrint. We have already been hard at work on developing the new ActivePrint 10. But we will now be spending the next month making sure that ActivePrint 10 uses every technology available to us to create an amazingly easy way to print all of your documents to any printer you own.

First up is how I just used ActivePrint the other day. I spent a few hours last night working on a financial spreadsheet report in Numbers on my iPad. While I do have a printer at home, I didn’t need a hard copy of this report at home. I needed it at the office the next day. So when I was done creating the report I exported the spreadsheet to DropBox (using DropDAV), then opened it up in ActivePrint Pro, and sent it on to the printer connected to my iMac in the office on the other side of town.
